Presidential Award for Professional Achievement

Pi Chapter has in its membership many people who have achieved outstanding success in their professional careers. These young, emerging leaders will serve as role models for our undergraduate members and those beginning their professional careers. A secondary goal is to firmly establish the breadth of professional careers available to graduates of today’s colleges of agriculture. This award will catalyze nomination to the Grand Presidents Award for Professional Achievement.

The recipient will be expected to attend the Pi Chapter Career Day and make a presentation about their career and the ways that Alpha Gamma Rho has helped them in their career.

Any Pi Chapter alumnus under 40 years old is eligible for the award. A broad definition of professions is to be encouraged. An identifiable career linkage to the food and agriculture industry is recommended, but not required. The recipient must be able to attend the Pi Chapter Career Day.

Virgil Stratton Outstanding Alumni Award

In honor of Virgil S. Stratton and his dedication to the success of numerous Brothers of Pi Chapter, the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Alumni Association of Alpha Gamma Rho will annually award the Virgil S. Stratton Award in recognition of deserving Brothers.

The nominee may be an alumnus of the Pi Chapter or actively involved with the Pi Chapter that has contributed to the success of the Undergraduate Chapter and Alumni Association.

Leo Strickland Outstanding Alumni

The Leo Strickland Award recognizes an alumnus who has made outstanding contributions to Pi Chapter.
